Week 4: The Brakes Come Off

Week Four is the first week where preseason rankings don't matter. The Math no longer cares how well you did in 2014; your ranking is only based on your body of 2015 work.

Your Top 25:

UCLA
70.5

The Bruins vault to #1 after steamrolling Arizona 56-30 in Tuscon. Freshman QB Josh Rosen had his best performance since UCLA's opener against Virginia.

Ole Miss
70.1

Hugh Freeze's rabbit's foot does its job after Vanderbilt fails to capitalize on two Ole Miss turnovers. The Rebs end up beating the Commodores by 9 and staying put at #2.

3

Georgia
68.1

Georgia dominated Southern University in things like yards (532 vs. 184), first downs (27 vs. 10), and points (48 vs. 6). But the Math expected the Bulldogs to rip the Jaguars apart like a poorly made chew toy, and so Georgia falls to #3. Let that be a lesson to those who would schedule FCS teams.

4
-1
Florida State
67.9

The Seminoles drop a spot after a bye. They say sharks start sinking when they stop swimming.

5

Notre Dame
67.8

Notre Dame's game against UMass was more competitive than it ought to have been until the Irish started to pull away late in the second half. The Domers ended up winning 62-27, good enough to stay in 5th.
