The United States of College Football
(#1) Florida State vs. (#19) Oklahoma State (8:00 PM ET, ABC) The defending champion Florida State Seminoles and Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston are off to Dallas for the sixth-annual Cowboys "Classic," facing the Oklahoma State Cowboys (no relation). OK State went 10-3 last season, including an impressive 32-point win over Baylor; could the Cowboys start this year with a similar upset?
Line: FSU by 24.5
(#11) Clemson at (#27) Georgia (5:30 PM ET, ESPN) Consider this an appetizer for the primetime game. Perennial SEC East contender Georgia takes on the Clemson Tigers in Athens. Georgia had a, by their standards, lackluster 8-5 season last year. Clemson went 11-2, but were overshadowed in the ACC by Florida State. Either team can start off their season with a marquee win here, and based on last season, expect these teams to be evenly matched.
Line: Push
(#12) Wisconsin vs. (#17) LSU (9:00 PM ET, ESPN) Both these teams' seasons ended with an SEC team beating a Big Ten team. LSU beat Iowa 21-14 in the Outback Bowl, and Wisconsin lost to South Carolina 34-24 in the Capital One Bowl. However, last year's Wisconsin was better than Iowa, while the Tigers were inferior to the Gamecocks. Most would give LSU the edge, but The Math favors the Badgers.
Line: Wiscy by 11.5
