Teams falling out of the Top 25: (#26) UCF, (#33) Virginia Tech

Teams worse than the average FCS team: (#119) Western Michigan, (#120) Massachusetts, (#121) Eastern Michigan, (#122) Georgia State, (#123) Miami (OH), (#124) Southern Miss, (#125) FIU, (#126) New Mexico State

Largest improvement in rank: +10 A four-way tie between Marshall (massively out-ran and out-scored Southern Miss), Boston College (upset Virginia Tech 34-27), Old Dominion (crushed FCS Rhode Island), and West Virginia (won their second Big 12 game against TCU in overtime).

Largest drop in rank: -13 Texas Tech was unbeaten and in the Top 25 two weeks ago. Now the Red Raiders are sitting at #44 after back-to-back losses to Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.

Most consistent team: Pittsburgh retains the title after losing by 11 and being out-rushed by 281 yards against the Top 5 rushing offense of Georgia Tech.

Most inconsistent team: Old Dominion retakes this title, mostly based on how the math treats FCS teams.

Conference Rankings:
Conference USA retakes the worst-conference title on UTEP's worse-than-expected loss to Texas A&M. The Mountain West and Sun Belt conferences swap places after Air Force upsets Army, and Louisiana-Lafayette and Texas State underperform against New Mexico State and Idaho, respectively.

Games to watch next week:

(#1) Oregon at (#8) Stanford (Thursday 9:00 PM ET, ESPN) A win by Oregon would put the Ducks at least 1.5 games ahead of everyone else in the Pac-12 North with three games (Utah, Arizona, Oregon State) left. A win by Stanford will put the Cardinal over the Ducks and will give Stanford the deciding tie-breaker should both teams win out afterward. It is not an understatement to say that this game will decide the Pac-12 North. Not sure why it's on a Thursday.
Line: Oregon by 19

(#13) BYU at (#9) Wisconsin (3:30 PM ET, ESPN) It's rare to see a Big Ten team playing a non-conference game this late in the season, even rarer against a decent team. BYU has held their own against a strong schedule that has included #14 Georgia Tech, #22 Houston, #32 Utah State, #34 Texas, and #35 Boise State. Meanwhile, Wisconsin has won big when they've won and lost small when they've lost (against Ohio State and Arizona State). Both teams are 6-2, have strong rushing offenses and stingy defenses, and are underrated in the official polls.
Line: Wisconsin by 7.5

(#18) LSU at (#5) Alabama (8:00 PM ET, CBS) LSU has a tenuous chance of winning the SEC West. The Tigers need to beat Alabama on Saturday and Texas A&M and Arkansas later this season, and they need Bama to lose once more (Auburn being LSU's best bet). A Crimson Tide win will not salt away the West for Alabama, but it will knock all but Auburn out of the running.
Line: Alabama by 19.5
